1. The application of residence permit and visa shall be examined and verified by the vice president of the international college, and the student office is responsible for handling the specific procedures.
2. Foreign students who study at the University of South China should enter the country with a general passport and study (X1) visa or (X2) visa. The validity period of X1 visa is 30 days after entry; the validity period of X2 visa is subject to the indication of the visa. The expiration of the visa constitutes an illegal residence. If a student enters the country with other types of visas, he / she may not be able to get a student visa or study residences permit, or study in school normally, and the student himself shall bear all the consequences caused thereby.
3. Students with X1 visa need to apply for a study residence permit within 30 days after entry. Failure to apply within the time limit will constitute illegal residence. Students with an X2 visa are not required to apply for a residence permit.
4. After registering at the university, the students should go to the First Affiliated Hospital of the University of South China for physical examination within the time required by the teacher in the office, so as to obtain the health examination certificate in time. The teacher in the office should lead the relevant materials to the Exit and Entry Administration Office of Hengyang Municipal Public Security Bureau to handle the residence permit within 30 days.
5. Before applying for the residence permit or extension, overseas students must pay the tuition, accommodation, insurance and other fees, and complete all the registration procedures for the new academic year.
6. Overseas students must report to the College Office of the International College and submit their passport within 24 hours after entering the university. The teachers of the College Office shall report to the temporary accommodation registration system for overseas personnel according to the regulations, go through the temporary accommodation registration procedures, and obtain the Temporary Accommodation Registration Form. If overseas students in China change their accommodation address, change their passport, change their visa or residence permit, reenter China after leaving the country, or when their accommodation registration expires, they should re-register in time. Failure to register in time or failure to re-register in time will constitute illegal residence.
7. The applicant with the X1 visa must provide the following materials to apply for the residence permit: ① My valid ordinary passport, visa, And a copy of the most recent entry; ② Fill in the Application Form for Foreign Visa and Residence Permit; ③ The original or photocopy of the Admission Notice issued by the school; ④ The original or photocopy of the first (white form) or the third (yellow form) of JW 202 or JW 201 Visa Application Form for Foreign Students studying in China; ⑤ Health certificate issued by hospitals of grade A or above; ⑥ The original Registration Form of Temporary Residence issued by the local police station (if all students leave the country, When entering China again, you must register for temporary accommodation with the local public security organ); ⑦ The Application Letter for Foreign Students issued by the college and affixed with the official seal of the college.
8. International students who need to extend their study period due to special reasons must report to the college for approval. After approval, you must apply for an extension of your residence permit. You must have a valid residence permit on your passport and show the certificate of tuition payment.
9. The International College has the right to refuse to grant any residence permit, extension or visa change for international students who fail to pay the fees (including tuition fees, accommodation fees, etc.).
10. International students should pay close attention to the validity period of their passports, visas and residence permits, and go through the extension procedures in time. If the visa and residence permits are not extended in time, they will be fined by the public security department, and the punishment will be borne by the students themselves. Those who still live in China beyond the validity period of their residence permit will constitute illegal residence. According to the relevant provisions of the Law on the Entry and Exit of Foreigners of the People's Republic of China, they will be fined 500 yuan per day, up to 5,000 yuan. Serious cases may also be detained.
11. If the residence permit is extended or changed, international students should apply to the engineering office of the International College at least two weeks in advance, otherwise they shall bear the consequences. In principle, the materials shall be prepared by the students themselves, and all expenses incurred in the application shall be borne by themselves.
12. Passport, visa and residence permits should be properly kept and shall not be altered or damaged. Viol will be punished. If the residence permit is lost, you must apply to the Exit and Entry Administration Office of Hengyang City Public Security Bureau with relevant certificates. If the passport is lost, you should report the loss to the Public Security Bureau in time, and the Exit and Entry Administration Office of the Hengyang Municipal Public Security Bureau will issue a certificate, and then apply to the Chinese embassy in China for a replacement. After the new passport, to the Hengyang City Public Security Bureau Exit and Entry Administration to apply for a new residence permit. Please keep a copy of your passport, visa and residence permit by yourself for a replacement if the certificate is lost.
13. According to the regulations of China's public security department, travel to non-open areas in China must apply for travel permits. Unauthorized travel to non-open areas is illegal. During holidays, international students can travel to open areas in China; except for the university, individuals should go to the students to the International Institute, and the students will go directly to the Exit and Entry Administration Office of Hengyang Municipal Public Security Bureau. Travel shall comply with the relevant regulations of China, and all travel procedures and expenses shall be borne by themselves.
14. In case of the end of the semester, the extension of the visa and residence permit must be handled within two weeks before the school holiday, and the holiday is generally not allowed. For students who maliciously owe, drop out, suspend, or are expelled from the university, the International College will cancel their residence permit and change their visa to an "L" visa and order them to leave the country within a time limit. If international students leave Chinese mainland after their study, they must leave the country within the validity period of their visa or residence permit. The punishment imposed for illegal residence shall be borne by himself.
15. For immediate family members or friends of overseas students who visit relatives and friends, they should apply to the domestic tourism department that has a business relationship with China International Travel Service. Schools do not handle such business and do not provide housing.
16. The specific matters involving the international student visa and residence management shall be implemented according to the specific provisions of the Exit and Entry Administration Office of the Hengyang Municipal Public Security Bureau.
17. These Provisions shall be implemented from the date of promulgation, and the Office of International College shall be responsible for the interpretation.
