Provisions on the Management of Retaking Courses for International students of USC
In order to standardize the training and management of international students, improve the education quality of international students, and promote the healthy and orderly development of international student education in our university, in accordance with Measures for the Administration of the Recruitment and Training of International Students by Universities and Colleges, Administration of Fees for International Students of the University of South China and other relevant documents, combined with the actual situation of our school, these provisions are formulated.
International students should attend the courses according to the curriculum arrangement and teaching plan of the International School, and take the examination according to the relevant regulations. Those who fail the course examination should take the make-up examination at the specified time. Those who fail the make-up examination must retake the course.
Those who retake course must complete the course-choosing within the time set by the International School on "University of South China Online" (See Appendix I) and pay the tuition online (See Appendix 2).
Those who need to retake unqualified courses will be charged 70 yuan/credit. Fees are denominated and settled in Renminbi.
After obtaining approval and paying the appropriate fees, those who retake the courses should attend the corresponding courses and take part in the examinations organized by the International School. The score shall be recorded according to the actual score, marked with "retaken" and included in personal file.
Unqualified courses can be retaken for many times, and the retake fee will be charged according to the credit charging standard each time.
Those who are absent from the internship or fail in the internship need to retake it. The retake fees (including transportation, accommodation, materials, etc.) are at your own expense.
Students who fail to complete all the academic requirements within the specified length of schooling will be regarded as completion of courses and leave the school. Unqualified courses can be retaken within 2 years after graduation. If they are qualified, they will be issued a new diploma. Those who meet the requirements for degree awarding can apply for a bachelor's or master's degree.
These provisions are applicable to international students registered after September 1, 2022, and will be implemented from January 1, 2023.
The provisions are interpreted by the International School.
