On October 7, 2024, 20 representatives of teachers and students from the International College of the University of South China, in response to the sincere invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hengyang Municipal Committee and Hengdong County, went to Hengdong County to participate in a unique local cuisine culture and tourism festival. During the event, the international students not only visited the exhibition and sales of excellent, famous, and special agricultural products in Hengdong, but also personally experienced the unique charm of Hengdong's folk culture. At the concentrated tasting banquet of local cuisine, the international students spoke highly of the Hengdong local cuisine and all expressed that this experience had made them feel closer to Chinese culture and enhanced their understanding of and affection for the Hengyang area. This event has become a window for international students to learn about Chinese folk culture and has also built a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
