The Pakistan Medical Council ((Pakistan Medical Commission,PMC) recently announced a list of accredited overseas medical colleges and universities, in which the USC stood.
The overseas certification of the Pakistan Medical Council aims to evaluate the capacity of running international medical education in medical universities or comprehensive universities beyond Pakistan borders.
From the end of September 2020, the Pakistan Medical Commission and the Pakistani Embassy in China have launched the certification of Chinese medical colleges and universities, and USC has successfully passed the overseas certification of the Pakistan Medical Commission in 2021. It marks the continuous improvement of the international influence of "studying in USC" and the medical education quality has been officially acknowledged by the state of Pakistan.
Since 2011, USC has been recruiting foreign students majoring in clinical medicine, and so far it has graduated 5 batches of medical undergraduates. Pakistan is one of the main source countries for medical students in USC. The university has always been focusing on medical education quality while improving its students scales, and in 2020, it took the lead in passing the Quality Certification of Overseas Study in China issued by the Ministry Of Education in China.
