In July 2024, Professor Jiang Zhisheng, Vice President of the University of South China, led a delegation to pay a friendly and fruitful visit to Wellington Institute of Technology and Whitireia New Zealand (hereinafter referred to as "WANDW"), which are affiliated with the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. During this period, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on core issues such as talent cultivation and cooperative education, and reached a preliminary consensus, laying a solid foundation for the future cooperation between the two universities.
A few months later, on November 13, 2024, a delegation from WANDW, led by Mr. Bryan Read, made a special return visit to the University of South China. The purpose of this visit was to further consolidate and deepen the cooperation intentions between the two sides in the fields of education and scientific research, and to promote the implementation of substantive cooperation projects.
In Conference Room 314 on the third floor of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Vice President Jiang Zhisheng presided over a symposium and extended a warm welcome on behalf of the University of South China to the delegation from WANDW. Vice President Jiang emphasized that the University of South China is on the fast track of vigorous development, with its teaching standards and scientific research capabilities continuously improving, and there is an increasingly urgent need for the internationalization of education. Therefore, the cooperation with WANDW is of great significance to the University of South China.
At the symposium, Mr. Bryan Read expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from our university and fully agreed with Vice President Jiang Zhisheng's proposal for cooperation.
The personnel from both sides introduced to each other aspects such as the history of school-running, talent cultivation, and internationalization construction. They focused on exchanging opinions on the cooperation intentions in professional fields including information technology, art studies, and management science, as well as relevant issues of common concern, and reached a preliminary consensus.

Relevant leaders and personnel from the Graduate School, the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Computer Science/Software, the Songlin School of Architecture, Design and Art, and the School of Economics, Management and Law attended the meeting.
